Le corde semistatiche vengono utilizzate negli interventi di soccorso o come linea di sicurezza nei lavori in altezza per l'accesso al posto di lavoro, in combinazione con altri DPI, o per effettuare lavori in trattenuta o in sospensione su fune (corda).
La corda semistatica con terminazione cucita è particolarmente resistente all'abrasione. La terminazione cucita con guaina di protezione tiene in posizione corretta il connettore per facilitare le manovre dell’operatore.
