Extension of the deadline for the direct application of Decree No. 149 of 17 December 2013
The Emilia Romagna Region has postponed, through Regional Law 17/2014 , the mandatory application of the technical requirements indicated in Regional Resolution no. 149 of 17 December 2013. The new date for the entry into force of Regional Decree no. 149 is 31 January 2015.
Please note that this postponement of the mandatory requirement for the installation of fixed anchors during major construction work does not exempt workers from complying with safety regulations when working at height.
Permanent anchors, often simply called lifelines, continue to be one of the most economical systems for securing all those small activities or maintenance performed in workplaces where there is a risk of falling.
Accidents occur too often when working at height, and they are very serious, certainly related to the type of work involved. But the surprise is even greater when the private client discovers they were involved and perhaps responsible for an event they didn't think was their responsibility.
It is therefore recommended that this deferral of obligation not be interpreted as a deferral of responsibility.

Art. 47
Extension of the deadline for direct application of Legislative Decree no. 149 of 17 December 2013 1. The deadline from which the mandatory requirements set forth in Legislative Assembly resolution no. 149 of 17 December 2013 come into direct application is extended to 31 January 2015. The application of the provisions aimed at eliminating the dangers of persons and things falling from a height, pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 81 of 9 April 2008 (Implementation of Article 1 of Law no. 123 of 3 August 2007, regarding the protection of health and safety in the workplace), remains unaffected.
